K-12 Education Agreement

The K-12 Education Working Group convened yesterday to conduct a thorough review of the K-12 Education Agreement, which encompasses both education policy provisions and appropriations. You can access the bill summary and all supporting documents here. Notably, the policy provisions do not include the harmful homeschool language, and both nonpublic pupil aid and transportation aid will continue to receive funding.

What's Next?

The finalized bill will be presented during a special session to both the House and Senate, where it will be subject to a vote. For the bill to become law, it must successfully pass through both chambers and receive the signature of Governor Walz.We will keep you informed of any pertinent updates related to the forthcoming special session.
